Where Have You Been?!

Long Time - No See!

I’ve been absent from the crafting world for a while now - but there’s a good excuse! I broke my hand!

I fell up the stairs at home - I’m such a wally!

I saw a hand trauma specialist - who said it may need to be pinned but luckily the cast and subsequent splint seems to have straightened it out well

I’ve not been able to make any amigurumi for over a month now - but have been able to do some ‘loose’ crocheting like blankets and hats - including this small double bed sized blanket I’m working on for my bedroom

I do have something for you though - a new pattern! I couldn’t work on actual Beanie Bois, so I made a Beanie Boi inspired hat - the Beanie Boi Beanie!

What with the chilly winter months on the horizon - I’ve been looking at making some free hat patterns available on this website, and this one was a nice place to start. It’s very easy to make - and if you don’t like the Beanie Boi aspect of the top leaves you can always skip them and make a plain beanie!

You can find the pattern now over on the Freebies - Crochet Patterns page, or here

I hope you like it, and have lots of fun making your own Beanie!

The specialist said full mobility won’t return to my hand for another 2 months yet, so amigurumi and any amigurumi Shop Updates are off for the rest of the year. I’m really sad I’ll be missing the Christmas Crafting Rush! :(

But in the meantime I’m hoping to get to work typing up patterns - both free and - excitingly - paid amigurumi patterns for the Rogs and Jellyderps! I’m often asked if I would consider making a pattern for the Rogs (and other amigurumi) available for people to create their own derpy friends - so thought I might as well give it a go :)

I’ll be looking for pattern testers for both the Rogs and Jellyderps as soon as I have the pattern typed up and finalised - if you’d like to test for me be sure to follow me on Instagram, where I will be posting a Tester Call sometime in the near future!

Have a lovely rest of the month - and remember - please be careful going up the stairs!

Take care -

Sarah
